Crash Bandicoot, one of the most (in)famous of all the evolution experiments ever created to this day. Originally created by Dr Cortex to be a general for his mutant army, he may not look all that tough & intelligent but Cortex saw potential on him. Unfortunately Crash had a good heart, and so he was forced into the Cortex Vortex - which had changed his life for better or worse.
The Cortex Vortex had warped his mind and caused him to go insane, but Crash fortunately, was not brain-washed and he managed to escape from the castle lab. But that wouldn't be the last Cortex would see of him, because he was attracted to his female bandicoot experiment, Tawna.
Crash was rescued by Aku aku in the ocean, leaving him washed up on N.Sanity Beach, miles away from the Cortex Castle. This is where his adventures would begin. While Crash wasn't as bright as some other mutants, he proved to be a great adventurer, fighter and risk taker. He was pretty fearless and could hit enemies hard with his rapid spin move. A spontaneous gift which he had gotten after going through the dreaded Cortex Vortex.
He used this to his advantage to defeat Cortex and his minions and ultimately rescue Tawna. Unfortunately she was interested in 'another male' and so they didn't stay together. Heartbroken, Crash had little to do afterwards until he found out that he had a young, smart sister named Coco. Together with Aku aku they built themselves a home on N.Sanity island. And over the next handful of years they would thwart Neo Cortex's plans each and everytime.
Crash also has a natural knack for driving various vehicles, even without never have driven them before. So while he was unable to speak, read or write properly, he still had some great skills nonetheless and could understand everybody just fine. He can sometimes be a bit careless with his actions though.
Then one day, Crash would have to deal with another bandicoot on Cortex's side, by the name of Crunch Bandicoot. Crunch was a perfect example of what Cortex wanted Crash to be all those years ago, he was large, powerful and wasn't the typical dumb-musclehead. Fortunately, both Crash and Aku aku managed to defeat and help 'free' Crunch from Cortex's powerful mind control and thus, Crunch joined forces with Crash and his family. Cortex and Uka uka were not to be seen or heard from for at least 3 years...
And so as of late, Crash resides on N.Sanity island, snoozing, eating wumpa and occasionally stirring up trouble around the island for his own amusement, and stopping any no-good-doers in their tracks! Although he currently stays away from Ernest's farm after being stalked by a strange opossum girl...
