Pasadena OPossum was an experiment made during the time Dr Nitrus Brio was planning a backlash against his former friend, Dr Neo Cortex. Brio was left with many exotic animals after Cortex abandoned the castle, so he evolved as many as he could during that time. And that included a Virginia opossum all the way from Texas! One of the few marsupials from outside of Australasia.
Pasadena wasn't interested in the battle against Cortex, so she was released and settled onto N.Sanity Island along with Hayden Hyena and Ernest Emu. Ernest started up a farm and so she joined in the job, being the simple country girl she is. She wasn't too bright, being evolved without the knowledge of how to read and write. She didn't think that was important while living the farm life anyway. But she was very good at once thing in particular - and that was racing.
She often takes part in races on X.Treme Island hosted by the Komodo Bro's and that's where she would meet Crash Bandicoot for the first time - and she was immediately love stricken by him. Pasadena's advances towards Crash freak him out and make him feel uncomfortable, so she's often having to chase after him to even get a chance to say hey!
But despite her enthusiasm, she does genuinely admire Crash for who he is and his heroic deeds. He's also one of the few anthros who matches her racing abilities behind the wheel.
